The New Dawn

I'm so excited about my new book 'The New Dawn'. I started writing it back in January 2014 and it was ready to send to the publisher late July. Now comes the wait until the first batch of edits to come through... You end up policing your emails waiting for them to hit. When they finally turned up from the editor there was only a small re-write in one scene and the normal changing spelling back to UK English from US English (I have a a US publisher) but apart from that there wasn't a lot to do. Then the fun wait for the front cover. When I received my first one, I was really happy with the image of Eloise but not Jackson. It must be very difficult for the poor artist, as they have to get into your head and see how you see your hero. I trolled through 1000's of images to find the right look and eventually found the perfect couple. I then sent it back to the artist and she put them in front of my brother in law's photo of Karnak Temple, changed their hair colour and changed the whole look to Sepia but didn't change their eye colour, so you are drawn into their eyes, especially Jackson's. I love it now and she has done an amazing job to bring this image in my head to you. I'm now just waiting for the final round of edits which I should receive in about 10 days time and should all be ready for the release date of 29th Oct.

Enjoy...
